      While working at SERL, I was promoted to the role of project manager and human factors team lead for the phase 2 development of a research design geared to investigate human performance while interacting with unmanned ariel systems (UAS). I worked on this project while simultaneously working as a human factors research associate for a separate project. This was a very fast-paced and dynamic environment where objectives changed frequently along the project lifecycle. I led a cross-functional team of 12 individuals and collaborated with professionals from NASA and Air Force Research Laboratory on conceptual ideation. My role was hands-on and allowed me to redesign a user interface for a field and simulated UAV. In addition, I was able to expand my role by contributing to the back-end development of the interface programming by learning JSON and working in Visual Studio code. Show less As a human factors research associate, I conducted literature reviews to generate insights that supported the experiment design and user interface design which was geared towards investigating the relationship between human and machine teaming in a search and rescue environment. I also recruited participants, developed measures, conducted pilot studies, interviews, surveys, collected and presented qualitative and quantitative data findings to cross-functional teams and leadership which aided in the development and design of an autonomous robotic simulation. I also utilized physiological data collection instruments such as eye trackers and galvanic skin response for pilot testing. Show less
