  During my internship at Komnas Perempuan, I contributed to the institution’s mission of advancing gender equality and women’s human rights through education, research, and policy advocacy. I was actively involved in editing policy instruments, transcribing and analyzing research data, coordinating with disability-focused CSOs, and assisting in meetings related to the Rencana Aksi Nasional Penyandang Disabilitas (RAN PD) and Permendikbudristek No. 55/2024 on the prevention of sexual violence in higher education.Key responsibilities and learning outcomes include:Supporting the editing and finalization of policy instruments on disability-inclusive gender perspectives.Participating as note-taker and rapporteur in inter-divisional and partner coordination meetings.Conducting data compilation and analysis from Komnas Perempuan’s CATAHU (Annual Report) focusing on violence against women with disabilities.Studying and processing data on Female Genital Mutilation (P2GP) from Komnas Perempuan’s Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) held in Jambi and Bengkulu, to understand the intersection of culture, religion, and policy implementation at the local level.Analyzing Permendikbudristek No. 55/2024 to identify legal and structural gaps in the prevention and handling of sexual violence in higher education.Providing policy recommendations for standardized national training modules for Satgas PPKS, suggesting coordination between Komnas Perempuan and KemenPPPA to ensure all Satgas members possess adequate and consistent gender sensitivity.Attending national symposiums and coordination meetings on gender, education, and anti-discrimination legislation.
