      H&M Insurance Agency is a family owned Insurance Agency in Northeast Philadelphia offering a variety of Property and Casualty as well as Life and Health insurance products. During my time at H&M, I created and implemented the Employee Handbook and subsequent training programs to ensure adherence to strategic goals and organizational vision. In addition, I drafted new HR policies in accordance with organizational goals, industry trends and labor laws and regulations. Some of my responsibilities included managing the budget for the HR department and allocating resources as necessary. Moreover, I processed payroll for 42 employees through ADP Total Source. I led comprehensive new hire onboarding sessions as well as follow up evaluations resulting in a 12% decrease in turnover in the first year. As a Business Partner, I managed a staff of 12 including 4 licensed insurance agents and focused on the professional growth and development of direct reports, maximized their efficiency, and responded to personnel matters in a professional and positive manner. I was very comfortable managing FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, compliance, and benefits for employees at three locations throughout the Philadelphia area. I was able to improved the bottom line through focused strategic workflow, staff training and motivation. Conducted recruitment efforts for all employees; monitored employee relations, progressive discipline process, and exit interviewing; wrote and placed job advertisements.
