      Activities and Societies: Volunteered at Rape Crisis. Participated at the National Youth at Risk Conference presenting a poster presentation on "Supporting Adolescents During Parental Bereavement."​ Other poster session, research based projects during the counseling program included: "The Use of Touch in Counseling"​ and "Effects of Counseling on Parentally Bereaved Children." While obtaining my degree, I worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Teaching Fellows Program. I completed my practicum requirements at Hospice and both of my internships with Catawba Mental Health, working with children and families.

Facilitated group leadership meetings, individual clinical supervision, and direct observation of supervision sessions and treatment team meetings. Ensured performance indicators and other standards were met in each of the programs. • Additional supervision was provided by way of monthly Motivational Interviewing consultation with each of the three sites, licensure supervision with LPC/S candidates as well as LPCA’s, weekly supervision with interns located at the agency.• Performed duties to include: Quality assurance and chart review, performance evaluation, participation in CARF survey every three years, attendance at management and board meetings, regular collaboration with stakeholders and other agencies, policy change, and new hire process (application review, conducting interviews, participation in orientation.)• Served on Corporate Compliance, Risk Management, Disaster, and Performance Improvement Committees and served as the Zero Suicide Coordinator.
