      - Awarded two research grants to develop a virtual reality (VR) environment for mice using Unity3D, C#, and MATLAB to enable analysis of decision-making effects on neural activity.- Built an input and reward system using Arduino Mega, touch sensors, a rotary encoder, an air compressor, solenoid valves and 3D printed parts, allowing mice to interact and make decisions in the VR environment.- Imaged neural activity of mice using a 2-photon microscope to determine how the brain encodes its environment.- Created a scientific poster, presented findings at the UC Irvine Research Symposium, educated attendees and represented the latest research from the department.
