      Aquatics director

Developed, organized, and implemented high quality, member focused YMCA aquatic programs. Directed and supervised aquatic programming and staff to ensure all scheduling and staff/shift vacancies were filled. Conducted staff performance evaluations and reviews. Monitored daily pool operations, and maintained accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance. Ensured that staff attended and maintained certifications in lifeguarding, swim instruction, First Aid, CPR/AED and online trainings as required. Developed and monitored program budget to meet fiscal objectives. Show less

      Aviculturist

Physiology and health of wild avian species, especially waterfowl and marine birds. Development of ecological biomarkers to study demographics and evaluate population viability, including assessment of diet, body condition, immune function, and disease/contaminant effects. Risk and feasibility analysis to assist in planning and implementation of management programs, including reintroduction, translocation, and captive populations management.

Data processor for the ROV Jason, one of the NDSF vehicles at WHOI. Create the data package in a timely fashion for the science party. Resolve at-sea data issues, including audio, video, and data stream problems. Help maintain the system and research new technology that could increase capabilities at sea.Data manager for the Biological & Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office. Facilitating scientific discovery through responsive management of observational oceanographic data. Curate oceanographic datasets and perform quality control for them to be published online to promote the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of those datasets. Show less Studying small-scale physical processes occurring within the interior of the ocean. These processes include waves, turbulence, diffusion, and convection. All are involved in ocean mixing. These investigations are based on the analysis of oceanographic data, including direct measurements of turbulence made during sea- going field programs. As an OOI participant I helped support an integrated infrastructure program composed of science driven platforms and sensor systems that measure physical, chemical, geological, and biological properties and processes from the seafloor to the air-sea interface. Helped maintain and prepare a fleet of autonomous underwater vehicles for deployment at four global nodes and one coastal node for deployments of up to one year in duration. Show less
