      Apr 2012 - Oct 2015
      Assistant Manager

Initially coming to Henri Lloyd as a part time Sales Assistant, due to strong sales skills and taking on additional responsibility I was promoted Assistant Manager. I was then selected to assist the closure of the companies Liverpool One store. As an assistant manager in their final months of trading, my role was to manage the existing staff, keep them motivated and drive sales despite the intended closure. All targets were achieved during a successful period, in which I personally headed sales by nearly £8,000. Alongside my current role this project has added considerably to my skill set. As Assistant Manager of Cheshire Oaks, I drove store performance from +1% to +5% on previous years trading. I have also brought a great team ethos, making sure the team were working as a collective rather than individuals. I did this through being an approachable manager, leading by example and setting high standards. This increased productivity, profitability and relationships throughout the store. Individual KPI’s became a major focus in store, with regular 1-2-1’s to monitor performance and staff morale. I have experience in compiling weekly and monthly reports which are communicated to both area managers and senior management team. These contained detail on sales targets, market trends, competitors and action plans. I was responsible for in store marketing which involves a high level of merchandising. This required me to be increasingly proactive as window merchandising changes weekly to reflect current trends and seasonality. My innovative responses to this enabled us to help attract new customers whist retaining regulars. I would then liaise with head office regarding offers and POS to help drive sales of slow moving product. Show less
