CRUX is a University based outdoor adventure program with emphasis on team building. Additionally, the effort provides students with opportunity to expand their horizons through outdoor adventure. Practical application of the lessons learned through such experience leads to growth in wisdom and maturity. At CRUX I planned and coordinated trips including full itinerary, logistics and execution. Through planning and successfully completing a number of trips, I gained specific appreciation for the importance of proper planning and attention to detail. Additionally, I spent over one year in providing the marketing support for the CRUX program through social media, graphic arts, flyers, design and circulation. During my tenure I achieved my Wilderness First Responder certification as well as CPR.As a leader in the program I mentored over 100 students in their ventures into the wilderness. We measured and achieved success by yielding many satisfied participants while maintaining an exemplary safety record. Show less

    • Art by Jo Coyle

      Jun 2011 - now
      Artist

Working on abstract mixed media and illustration to upcycled tins and pattern design, Jo Coyle considers her works and motivations to be led by an internal "art roulette."Jo graduated from Mount St. Mary's University with a BA in Fine Art, after studying fine art and film in high school at Carver Center for Arts & Technology in Towson, MD. Though her strengths lie mainly in fine art, she is developing new interest and skill in both traditional and digital illustration and design.Jo believes art is a method with which to externalize emotion and one's mind. It's how she expresses her creativity and passion for things often seen, yet taken for granted every day, such as simple forms, colors and textures that stand out and capture the eye. Show less

The real goal of our customers after all is the experience after they leave, and their goal to utilize the best apparatus for their selected endeavors. Show less

      Adult Programs Intern

My internship at the Walters Art museum was an exercise more in submersion than in completion. Providing even nominal clerical support in the midst of the fascinating art of so many before me was gratifying in the setting if not in the work itself.
