      Sr dir of app dev

Responsible for all application Development for the company. Development staff of up to 30 including Directors, Project Managers and Developers. PMP methodologies were introduced to formalize our SDLC process and provide better visibility into the cost and return on projects prior to development. Source Change controls have been implemented to help eliminate the problem of source code being stepped on and changes lost and provide versioning on all source code changes. While in this position we have implemented a Sales Force Automation system on PDAs, now in its 4th generation. The system gives the sales force access to Sample order entry and inquiry, pricing information, price registration, and order approval and release. Our customer access web site was completely redeveloped using Visual Studio .Net and the iSeries as the backend database. With the web development we implemented the use of web services to isolate business rules into common routines that could support legacy green screen applications, browser based applications and even provide information to affiliate companies and customers. A company-wide warehouse management system for the manufacturing facilities was developed and implemented that controls and monitors material movement between processes and between facilities using RF terminals and barcode scanners. Shipping documents were converted to digital format with signature capture to streamline the shipping process and reduce document handling and paper cost. We internalized our Disaster Recovery and High Availability environment and have system up time of virtually 24/7. In January of 2010 we migrated our financial systems from Infinium to JDE E1. The migration included multiple interfaces between the financial systems and CAMS. Show less
