      Managed a team of developers, both in Hartford and off shore, that created and maintained applications for the Application Environment Services Area and a team that supports the Continuous Integration Environment. Ensured key deliverables were met. Implemented a structured approach, best practices, metrics and controls to improve the group’s efficiency. Mentored team members in requirements, design, analysis and testing strategies to increase customer acceptance.* Added leadership and structure to the Distributed Source Code Management audit project to ensure that all 140 applications were made compliant according to the negotiated schedule.·* Managed the development of an Environment Configuration Compare system that saved over 60 hours a week in manual efforts.·* Gathered requirements, designed and managed the development of an Environment Health Monitoring system. This allowed for the team to proactively fix over 50% of the environmental problems and significantly increased Testers productivity.* Managed all phases of the multiple .Net / web based development projects. This included a Communication Portal, a Problem Reporting / Tracking system, a Version Dashboard, an Access Provisioning system and the redesign of a Code Migration Request system. These systems improved communication between our area and our customers and captured area metrics.* Managed large-scale technology projects for the Personal Insurance development environments. This included the conversion of 80+ testing and production servers with 20+ applications to Windows 2003. Coordinated a team of 50+ people throughout multiple areas to meet the common goal and schedule. Delivered conversions according to schedule, along with contingency plans.* Managed code migrations and problem resolution across 28 environments. Show less Managed the Geac financial systems vendor platform, developed internal and business application systems, developed and taught technical training classes, coordinated division wide technology projects and leveraged best practices, cross training and product knowledge across the division.* Managed the implementation of corporate wide platform changes and solutions across over 125 systems within the Finance and Corporate Systems area. All changes were delivered according to schedule with minimal impact to the environments. * Developed a Visual Basic tax payment, tracking and allocation system for the Corporate Tax area. This included heavy Customer interaction, creating complex user interfaces, writing SQL stored procedures, allocating tax dollars, generating year-end entries, SQL table updating and interfacing with the Excel object to format the reports. The system eliminated hundreds of hours of manual reconciliation. * Managed merger, spin-off and major product upgrade activities to over 80 application and over 4000 customers that used our Geac Financial products. This included: installing vendor products, region configuration, retrofitting modifications into the system, security analysis, detail consulting, training, programming and overall project management.
