      Was hired as graduate trainee for 6 months and was included on several intriguing projects throughout this period. Verdande Technology is a high-tech company working in the oil and gas sector. The core of the company’s technology is a technology that enables re-use of knowledge, and was originally developed to be used during off-shore real-time drilling operations (DrillEdge)I worked closely with both the CMO and the CTO on their projects. I was responsible for KPI tracking for the whole company, which thought me project management and structure. Also I worked on branding and profiling of the company in the initial commercialization phase in addition to competitor analysis. Further, I worked closely with the CTO on ISO certification and BIM systems for the company. Together with an external consultant I was put in charge of arranging the, first ever held, strategy convention. I was included in the processes of obtaining new, and renegotiating with existing VC.       10 students from different educational and cultural backgrounds were put together on the project: “LNG as fuel in short sea shipping” to define the most favorable market, segment, routes, cargo and vessel type for LNG fueled vessels, in addition to managing the fuel logistics of the whole operations. The goal: prove it to be profitable. Timeframe: 6 weeksThe team: • Technical: Industrial Economics (NTNU) (2), Marine Technology (NTNU), Risk Management (Uni. Lund), Master in Physics (UiO), Master in Chemistry (UiO), MSc Gas Technology (NTNU)• Non-technical: Msc International Marketing and Management (BI/Uni.Mannheim), MBA (Harvard), MSc Economics (HNN)My contributions: • Conducting market research on the shipping industry of the Baltic region• Obtaining thorough insight into the LNG market, its politics, dynamics and development• Gaining insight into the regulatory environment and the changes of the geographic region we were to operate• Defining the alternative trade routes and cargo types• Selecting vessel type according to routes, profitability of cargo shipment and market projections• Assessing and comparing the market potential of the chosen segments and estimate the break-even point concerning both freight and fuel, also accounting for environmental concerns• Developing a plan for the fuel logistics to coordinate with the ship-owners company and the chosen routeThe above mentioned points were calculated, estimated and concluded upon based on figures provided by other members of the team.       Master thesis - Subsidiary Knowledge as contributor to cluster competitivenessThe objective of the thesis is to look at how the Norwegian maritime cluster’s competitiveness is affected when companies with HQ in Norway establishes subsidiaries in the Shanghai maritime cluster. To measure this we are first looking at the degree of knowledge retrieval by the subsidiary, from the foreign cluster, then at the degree of reverse knowledge transfer from subsidiary to HQ, and lastly at the degree of knowledge sharing within the home cluster.
