  I have the privilege of leading and supporting interdisciplinary research and policy development initiatives aimed at driving climate action for food systems on both local and regional scales. My primary focus is to engage with science-policy networks and organizations, effectively framing technical questions and integrating scientific evidence into practical policy solutions.One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is collaborating closely with our African partners and working together to provide technical guidance needed to enhance our capacity in addressing climate change challenges. Additionally, I am responsible for advancing climate action within the Eastern and Southern Africa Region. This entails developing innovative solutions to overcome policy and institutional capacity hurdles associated with climate change.In managing the entire life cycle of research projects, my goal is to ensure their seamless integration into our broader program strategy while aligning with research protocols and prioritizing financial partner objectives. Moreover, I take an active role in proposal development and fundraising, leveraging my expertise to secure necessary resources, guiding teams and partners in executing research projects and managing deliverables successfully.By combining my passion for nutrition resilience, climate action, expertise in policy development, and ability to integrate scientific evidence, I aim to make a meaningful and lasting impact in addressing the challenges posed by climate change in ESA.
