Tesco plc
Apr 2011 - May 2013Customer assistantI first worked at Tesco during sixth form and left to go to University in Preston. When I finished my degree I received a call from the deputy manager who offered me another position due to my great relationship with the team. Due to the role being part-time I also had a second job working at night in Le Bateau. During my time at Tesco I have gained a good understanding of waste budgets and contributed to my store in achieving sales budgets by completing daily routines within the given timescales to ensure accurate levels of stockholding where achieved at all times. I feel that throughout my time in stock control I developed excellent time management skills as I needed to plan my time effectively to deliver the stock control routines within the corporate time scales. I believe my strength in Tesco was my excellent customer service skills, I have also developed time management skills working to deadlines to deliver for the customer, I am comfortable working as part of a team and also working on my own using my own initiative to ensure my workload is met. I was offered a position to move on to management training but decided to leave to follow a role within sales. Show less

May 2013 - Sept 2015Account managerAs the first employee to work for this company, I was the trial person to see if the business was able to compete with already established subprime market. Once the relationship has been established, I can then help complete the sale. My role also includes the generation of new customers with the control of two websites, different forms of social media -that I introduced - and the control of our radio advertisement, flyer and letter designs.
