Feb 2001 - Jul 2004Credit analyst / mis officer Business Activity RelatedAs a MIS Analyst I was responsible for reviewing the performance of our group companies, operating in MENA (Middle East & North Africa) on periodic basis. And submitting the reports to the MD, Head of Marketing and the Financial Controller of the entity. The countries under consideration were Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman & UAE. The analysis would include detail financial performance analysis, overdue status, NPL analysis, asset profitability report & sector analysis of the company, against previous period, i.e month wise, quarter wise and yearly performance analysis.As a Credit Analyst my responsibilities encompasses review of day to day business proposals for Operating Lease Business. This would also include detail asset wise profitability reports made on monthly basis. This would help the management in reviewing which asset is more profitable & hence procurement & deployment was forecasted. Manual drafting was the most extensive assignment I was given by the management. During this assignment I was regularly rotated with all the department heads and streamlined their SOP’s with the system & best practices. Jul 2007 - Sept 2010Credit Risk Manager for the Corporate & Commercial banking department. I was responsible for the Southern Region of Pakistan, looking after a portfolio of nearly 3.5 Bn. And reporting to the Senior Credit Manager, who looked after the portfolio on country wise basis. The detail anatomy of my workings are below;• Reviewing & Analyzing credit proposals regarding Term Lending, WCM, Corporate Financing & Project Financing for the Corporate / Commercial banking division.Analysis pertaining to Financial & Credit risk is done, this would include detailed Balance Sheet analysis, P&L analysis and Cash flow analysis, and then proper, relevant queries are initiated here & forwarded to the respective RM’s & business units. This is done in lieu to see whether the business initiated is creating value to “our” business or it will simply end up in NPL. The case is not forwarded for approval until, it is thoroughly checked for any modality present at that particular moment. • Monitoring the existing portfolio and raising queries to minimize NPL’s for the segment.MIS is generated on daily basis to check for any anomaly that might infect the portfolio. Proper liaison is always maintained with the respective RM’s and business units to assure that bank is promptly safeguarded against any future losses or litigations. In assuring this activity proper MIS is always maintained & updated with any new outlook that may assist the Country Head or the Senior Credit Manager to properly lay out future business plans.• Supervise periodic status report preparation for presentation to the management as it relates to the timely identification of problem credits and recommended solutions along with assisting the formulation of the Bank’s credit policy. Key role is System Analysis, Development, User Acceptance Testing, End User Trainings, Mock Banking, Live implementation and Help desk support of T24 Products (Customer, Limits, Collateral, Loans & Deposits (LD), Mortgage (MG), Funds Transfer (FT), Corporate Credit Setup, and support to finance for mapping GL for proper disclosure in the MIS).
