      As the DV facilitator, I ran the 52 week batterers course for offending clients who were mandated to attend. The program is designed to address violence in relationships. With the goal of eliminating violence while increasing victim safety, offender accountability, and positive responsible behaviors. Topics I provided psycho education for included anger management, identifying triggers and power and control tactics, stress management, time out techniques and grounding skills, respectful and effective communication, healthy relationships and boundaries. As a youth development counselor, I met the needs of youth and their families on a continuum of services that keep at risk youth on the right track and help delinquent youth break the cycle of poverty and violence. Provided prevention and intervention strategies services that include mental and behavioral health programs and youth support groups that focus on healthy and safe lifestyle changes. I provide immediate response services for urgent law enforcement referrals and 24 hour on call rotation. Conduct and complete initial intake, safety screening, safety planning, and needs assessment for all clients. Educate victims and survivors on victims crime rights and services and their options in working with various levels of law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of traffickers. Develop client driven service plans, coordinating and collaborating referrals to programs where victim is eligible. Provide comprehensive case management services to access shelter, medical services, transportation, legal advocacy, housing assistance, mental and behavioral health services, and other relevant organizations. Facilitate human trafficking awareness trainings and conduct outreach for victims, parents, youth, medical staff, school faculty, service providers and the local community with an emphasis on men, boys and LGBT community. Facilitate prevention groups for at risk youth populations. Participate as an expert on human trafficking during multi-disciplinary team meetings where local human trafficking cases are presented and reviewed for quality and improvement of services. Engage in program design, service delivery, policy and procedure development and evaluation. Participate in the North County Human Trafficking collaborative meetings, human trafficking task force meetings, the Church's Against Trafficking collaborative and other community based meetings.
