  My final project had a topic that concern in corrosion and material failure. To support that, I must join with my lecturer in Corrosion and Material Failure Laboratory. I took the pipe that have a function in mining or industrial environment, this material have a moderate corrosion resistance. Because its character, it must be protected in any ways. One of them to increase its corrosion resistance is adding the inhibitor substance. I used the expired drugs to be the inhibitor, the main reason to selected it is because expired drugs haven't a economic value and can be called a waste. During the process to finish my final project, there are many tools that I learn like Potentiostatic Meter, FTIR, SEM-XRD etc. Show less

My responsibility during this professional internship was analyze the corrosion rate of gas pipe, water pipe and give the solutions if there is a high level of corrosion.
