  In placements around BAE Systems I worked at the Basildon site (later Selex) on IR sensors and at the Leicester site on armoured vehicles. I was also stationed part-time at RAF Wittering supporting the Harrier aircraft avionics suite.

  Specialising in defence Infrared Sensor systems for targeting pods, missile guidance and border protection for many different countries. I also held other small roles in radio systems, jammers and acoustic detection system projects.

  Working in the Electronic Systems sector, I have led numerous multi-discipline teams primarily in the fields of Helmet Displays (Augmented Reality Systems) and navigation systems. These projects have covered the complete lifecycle of R&D and campaign management through development, manufacturing and product support. I am currently responsible for a strategic business winning campaign in the United States. Reporting to the Finance Director, I provided Independent Cost Evaluation (ICE) analysis on high-value bids or programmes. This gave an experienced second-opinion on the range of likely programme outcomes and financial performance, based on my analysis of the project and its risk factors.
