      At TCS (erstwhile Tata Infotech Ltd) I joined as a Business Analyst in the year 1998. - My first projects were with the Stock Exchange, Mumbai as a Business Analyst. - Post succesful completion of these projects I was assigned a technical role in telecom giants BSNL and VSNL.- In 2003 when I was leaving the organisation I was primarily responsible for leading the Application Support for 6 BSNL circles.

      - Was accountable for technical account management and service delivery for 3 key customers of Oracle - HDFC Bank, New India Assurance and Reliance Infocom.- Was responsible for Introducing clients with innovative Oracle Technology to improve their service to its customers and to reduce TCO. Arranging Knowledge Sessions for their skills development.- One point contact for the Customer for all their technology needs related to or interfacing with their Oracle Products Stack and ensuring they gets required levels of Service.- Handling escalations and problem management for the customers.- Performing periodic application/database reviews in areas of performance, availability and security to identify areas of improvement.- Was part of the migration of HDFC Bank’s core Corporate Banking application on IBM P590, AIX5.3L and Oracle9i from existing Tru64/Oracle8i. It was the first site in India to successfully implement IBM Power Systems P590 and Oracle9i which gave the bank immense scalability and performance.- Lead the migration of HDFC Banks Retail Assets application from 2-Tier to 3-Tier architecture using Oracle9i Application Server and Web Forms. This helped the Bank scale out the Retail Assets business without the worry of managing thick client legacy application.- Was part of the consolidation of Telecom Billing application for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd Gujarat from across 17 regions to 4 centralized zones to lower the cost of maintenance and ease for administration.✔ Migrating HDFC Bank from native SAN based replication to Oracle Data Guard for improved availability and performance. Key outcomes expected from this platform are enhanced user experience, IT4IT and reduce cost. - Bank has an extremely complex technology landscape. ServiceNow will cut across this technology landscape and optimize all IT service delivery processes.- This job demands creating a roadmap for the implementation of the platform functionality in phases. Special emphasis is given to the outcomes that the functionality will deliver basis which roadmap is agreed with the Technology Head.- Primary responsibility is to create a robust structure with the right quality and quantity of resources which will ensure delivery of this roadmap. This includes a blend of permanent staff, outsourced resources and OEM consultants. Show less - Leading the Application Incident Management vertical, a strong 300+ team of technical engineers who are the single point of contact for incidents reported in all business applications in the Bank. - Accountable for the Event management and Incident management functions right from the 24x7 monitoring to the incident closure including the incident categorisation, stakeholder communication, root cause analysis and KEDB maintenance.- Responsible for creating a robust and sustainable structure for the Application Incident Management vertical with the right quality and quantity of resources. Also defining the roles and responsibilities during War and Peace times which will ensure optimal utilisation of the team. This was critical to achieve maximum availability of business applications and ensure collaboration within the teams.- Responsible for the implementation of a dedicated Automation unit, which is horizontal function cutting across the Application Incident Management function. This unit is responsible to implement application performance management tools (DynaTrace, AppDynamic, HEAL) and automation (Ansible). This initiative has been undertaken with a vision to implement AIOps as the end state. Show less - Was part of the End User Computing (EUC) Group of the Bank leading the “EUC – Problem Management, Messaging & Collaboration and End Point Virtualization” functions. - These function include end point virtualization of desktops and applications, messaging and collaboration and Problem Management in EUC area namely Desktops, Applications, Peripherals, LAN and Power. - Played a pivotal role in the closure of the new services engagement for EUC and Branch Network management. This engagement ensured the availability, scalability and performance of non-data centre IT assets in 5000+ location of the Bank which is a key element in providing services to the end customers of the bank.- Was responsible in implementing Virtual Desktops (VDI) strategy in the Bank. VDI with VSAT technology was an important part of the Bank expansion plan in rural and unbanked geographies. This technology has also helped the Bank to quickly implement a successful “Work from Home” ecosystem during the Covid19 pandemic.- Have successfully implemented automation for the EUC Chargeable Calls function to ensure five nines of accuracy and financial governance. Show less - Part of the core Infrastructure Technology Group of the Bank leading the “Enterprise Platforms” group which includes application and desktop virtualization, messaging and collaboration, OBIEE enterprise reporting, EMFT enterprise file transfer and IBM MobileFirst mobile development applications in the Bank. - I was responsible for the availability and performance of these platforms which provide services to multiple business applications.- Closed the Unlimited License Agreement (ULA) deal for the Bank for application and desktop virtualisation and MDM for a period of 3 years. This deal gave the bank unlimited scalability for the usage of these technologies.- Implemented a DR/BCP for Notes messaging for senior Bank employees. This initiative is very important for internal and external communication of the Bank in the case of a DC outage. Show less - Leading the application, infrastructure and end user computing support for HDFC Securities, the broking outfit of HDFC Bank. - Architected and successfully implemented the core trading application of HDFC Securities on IBM Power systems with Oracle9i which increased the system uptime and performance. This was a major achievement which enabled the growth of HDFC Securities from 20 to 100+ branches in a span of 2 years.- Completed the Data Centre migration of HDFC Securities from an in-house setup to a Tier 4 IDC. The entire migration of 100+ infrastructure items was planned over a period of 1 year and executed over 3 weekends without any business disruption.
