  A Dutch start-up exploration and production company focusing on exploiting opportunities in underdeveloped oil and gas fields as well as late-life assets in Western Europe. A very dynamic, entrepreneurial, and technically challenging environment, where I as a Reservoir Engineer: - Was the Opportunity Lead for a multi-disciplinary team that valuated oil and gas licenses for projects in the Netherlands and Germany. The team was composed of ten engineers, economists and geologists split over The Netherlands and Germany. As part of that team I made a valuation of all the prospects and delivered a short list of the most promising prospects with their risks and opportunities.- Proved presence of largest gas field found in the Netherlands in more than a decade. I convinced management after I found the proof by innovatively examining the original data. The original owner (a supermajor) believed the field to be empty, because they examined the data in a conventional manner, sold it to us for pennies on the dollar.- Was involved in data room exercises (buying and selling).- Witnessed drilling, wireline, and coiled tubing operations.   Foam can be used as an enhanced oil recovery process. For my PhD I investigated the flow-behavior of crude-oil and foam in porous media.Three research papers published. Finished project within time and budget. Ex: developed a novel, yet simple and cheap (€100’s) method to investigate the behaviour of crude oil and foam under field conditions. With this method experiments can be conducted on a larger scale (X100 in size) than the standard microscopic experiments, making the results more comparable to field conditions. Project in collaboration with Shell andPetronas.As part of my PhD I supervised two MSc and two BSc students with their thesis, all of whom finished their work on time and with good grades (7.5+/10).   • Business development: initiated and managed first Dutch, nation-wide, research program onsustainable lithium sourcing from geothermal water, involving all Dutch oil & gas and geothermal companies. Research included lithium abundance in the Dutch subsurface, extraction possibilities and a feasibility study.• Project management: mineral scaling is a common issue in geothermal energyprojects. I managed a team developing a tool to forecast and mitigate mineral scaling.This project was in collaboration with multiple industry partners.• Coaching: field development planning for hydrogen storage, CO2 storage, and oil &gas fields exploitation.
