      9-month research internship at Dierenpark Amersfoort and Utrecht University. This internship focused on zoo animal welfare. I designed and built three types of feeding enrichment devices to encourage "contrafreeloading" behaviour in a group of Japanese macaques. This internship included 5 months of behavioural observations at the zoo.

      Research Internship - Proboscis Monkey Behaviour

      My final master's research internship was on the nocturnal activity exhibited by proboscis monkeys living in Sabah, Malaysia. I analysed a large acceleration dataset using R to measure monkey activity levels in response to several external variables, including rainfall and temperature. I acquired auxiliary data such as rainfall and temperature from NetCDF files.

      Conservation Careers is a UK-based career advice centre for conservationists. In this voluntary role, I assisted in expanding the social media presence and community of Conservation Careers from an audience of 94,000 people to over 131,000 people. I scheduled posts on jobs, interviews, online courses and trainings on Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook using Hootsuite with the intent of sharing conservation worldwide.
