    I am honored to be the fire chief for the Lebanon Fire District. I consider it a privilege to serve an organization of dedicated staff that places a high value on providing outstanding customer service. Lebanon Fire District serves 30,000 people over 134 square miles in Linn County, Oregon. In 2018, the district responded to 6,659 calls, which is a 64% higher than in 2008. These calls include building fires, emergency medical services, wildland fires, hazardous material spills and rope / technical rescues.       Under direction of the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief plans, organizes and directs through subordinate supervisors and multiple divisions of the fire department. Provides highly technical staff assistance to the Fire Chief and works with considerable latitude and independent judgment in interpreting and applying broad policies, rules and regulations. Assumes command of the department in the absence of the Fire Chief. As part of the interim executive leadership team the Acting Deputy Fire Chief was the highest ranking Chief Officer and was responsible for leading through organizational crisis by the oversight and management of all divisions of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD). Carrying out city and departmental goals by fostering working relationships with LPFD personnel, other city departments, local and regional fire agencies. Under direction of the Deputy Fire Chief, the Battalion Chief is responsible for the command and management of an assigned shift. Additional responsibilities include the management of fleet, engine operations, training and leadership programs for the department. The Fire Captain is a first line supervisory position and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned fire apparatus, equipment and station. Under direction of the Deputy Fire Chief, the Battalion Chief is responsible for the command and management of an assigned shift. Additional responsibilities include the management of fleet, engine operations, training and leadership programs for the department.

As a team member in the Operations and Planning Sections I have deployed with the team to Hurricane Irene in New York and the Morgan Fire on Mount Diablo.
