      In Tsunami Recovery ProgramKey achievements● successfully undertook gender assessment of the tsunami damage and developed gender mainstreaming guidelines for all four major recovery projects i.e Restoring Livelihoods, Disaster Risk Management, Shelter Reconstruction, and Restoring Critical Infrastructures● Took self initiative for gender audit of all recovery projects and developed gender mainstreaming action plan for all recovery projects which was adopted by all recovery projects. ● contributed my knowledge and expertise in gender mainstreaming beyond the recovery program during the preparation of 7th National Development Plan of the Maldives and worked with the National Planning Commission of the Maldives. ● Conceptualized, developed and successfully implemented both 1st and 2nd phase of a pilot project on “Restoration of Women’s Livelihood”* An interview was published in the regional report published by UNDP Asia Pacific Office in Bangkok.       Key Achievements • Successfully developed TOR and formed a national level alliance of eleven established women’s organizations and networks called “Women’s Core Committee for Peace and Justice” (SAHAYOG) for networking, joint advocacy and lobbying on mainstreaming women’s voices, concerns and contributions in the national peace building process. • Successful and timely assessment, award and execution of all thirteen grant projects both in the area of track2/3 local peace building and track1 national level advocacy with-in project duration. • Provided substantive and excellent leadership, management and oversight to make Nepal Women’s Peace building Networks Program a great success. • As a result of joint advocacy by the Core Group together with other civil society organizations a major policy change was achieved in the area of women’s representation in the constituent assembly election, where by election law was amended and it was made mandatory for all political parties to ensure minimum 33% women’s candidacy in the direct election and up to 50% in the proportionate election system.
