Coordinating particular projects as follow:Local Initiative for Rural Development of Backa: is project intended to enable the Serbian local institutions to make significant steps forward in Serbia Integration process to EU. It provides technical assistance for capacity building in usage of IРА Rural Development Program.The goal of this project is to reduce poverty in rural areas by developing a network of local initiatives i.e. by forming Local Action Groups (LAG) to prepare for efficient use of EU funds allocated for rural development. This project is to establish the capacities of local actors of the 8 municipalities in Backa for the use of pre-accession funds allocated for rural development – IPARD, especially funds allocated for the realization of LEADER measures. Local Action Groups, in fact, will have the right to apply for funds allocated for realization of LEADER measures. Within the project, Local Action Groups (local partnerships of the different social, agricultural and environmental stakeholders coming from public, private and civil sector as well as youth, Roma, women and organizations dealing with social protection) will be acquainted with the procedures of use of funds for rural development. In charge for developing of local rural development strategies for each of the municipalities in accordance with LEADER methodology (defining priorities in the domain of agriculture, social protection, infrastructure and tourism) namely, active participation of Local Action Groups in defining and drafting the aforementioned strategies.
