As an expansion of my previous role, I research and develop publisher-level open access policy to best practice standards and manage the implementation of both publisher-level and journal-level policy across our 34 diamond open access journals. I oversee our processes for, and advise our editors on, areas of publication ethics, malpractice and research integrity in open access scholarly research.I also identify editorial processes that require additional guidance to be issued and work in consultation with colleagues and editors to create new guidance, ensuring that such resources are clear, well informed, accessible and current. Show less I oversee the editorial processes for online open access academic journals, and I am Managing Editor of our flagship Open Library of Humanities journal. This includes communicating with journal editorial teams and authors of scholarly articles, commissioning and curating special collections, copyediting articles, mediating and making editorial decisions based on peer review processes, and training others in the use of the Janeway journal publishing platform. I also ensure best practice in scholarly open access publishing is being adhered to by our journals through reviewing our publisher policies so that they follow COPE and OASPA guidance, and by auditing and expanding our journal indexing and archiving practices.
