  Volunteer across two hospitals in medically underserved areas in North County and aided medical staff in patient care within the following departments: Geriatric Psychiatry, Neurology, Oncology, Med/Surg/Tele, and ICU. Tasks include bathing, oral care, feeding, ambulation, incentive spirometry, and patient transportation.

  Lead focus groups and one-on-one interviews with older adults with HIV to evaluate their thoughts about the Village model, factors that contribute to loneliness, and approaches to enhancing reach and diversity. Collected and analyze qualitative data from focus groups. Assist with design and facilitation of group advance care planning sessions with older adults under the guidance of Dr. Lindsey Yourman. Specific roles include aiding in patient communication, visit coordination, and data collection using REDCap and EPIC.
