      Director of innovation & design

A key function of my role is supporting faculty in developing and implementing project-based learning experiences that allow students to engage more deeply with course content and apply what they've learned creatively.I teach two computer science courses which lean heavily in the direction of creative and expressive applications of CS, as well as electronics, mechanical engineering, and design.Additionally, I run a 1,500 square foot creative space called the I.D.E.A Hub, equipped with a variety of both traditional tools, like sewing machines and cameras, as well as more cutting edge tools, like 3D printers and laser cutters, along with all of the software needed for students to design their own creations from scratch.I also support a variety of student-led activities, including a competitive robotics team, a radio station, and an internship program for students who want to develop independent projects in the I.D.E.A Hub.
