      Customer Advisor

My job role was spent ensuring every customer was provided with the right level of information aboutnew products and services available, allowing informed consumer decisions to be made. By havingquality conversations, I was able to demonstrate a good level of customer service and a passion fortreating all customers fairly. My support within my team and with my manager was noticed when Iachieved a roll within Training Support, this meaning that I worked alongside trainee's, supporting themand helping them to extend their knowledge of the insurance services. As well as this, time wouldbe spent with the advisors training them with other areas of sales and service and how to introducecertain aspects within insurance. I took my job role one step further by spending a lot of time closelymonitoring trainee's calls, and giving feedback, as well as closely supporting some of the managers -keeping them up to date with their teams' performance and progress. Lettings Co-Ordinator

n this role I was exposed to property maintenance and the environment of lettings. I started off my job role as a property manager, where I dealt with the maintenance of properties within my portfolio, this involved dealing with the collection of rent arrears, both in person handling cash, and through online banking, management visits, gas safety certificates and many important roles. I excelled at my role and was promoted to Lettings Co-ordinator, where I deal with all applicant’s pre-tenancy. This involved getting applicants through referencing, being their main point of contact throughout thisprocess, preparing their tenancy agreements and dealing with any property maintenance. Not only was I dealing with prospective, but I also dealt with landlords, building relationships and ensuring that strong communication is kept between us, as well as the tenant and landlord. This job was significantly rewarding, as I felt that I was helping people with the next step in their lives. I have a lot of knowledge about all areas of a tenancy, including property maintenance. • Sandwell Council

      Jul 2019 - Jan 2024

In this role I was the point of contact for staff members, visitors, contractors and Councillors. I was in charge of looking after many different areas, from access systems, fire alarms, general repairs, meeting rooms and many other responsibilities across 11 buildings. I was able to work between the two teams to identify repairs that needed to be reported to contractors, and works that were able to be completed in house. This took pressure off the contractors and improved the efficiency of repairs, and here I was able to manage the works from start to finish, giving me an insight into project management. As well as this, we worked heavily with members of the public, who would want to hire our buildings for external events, this would mean I would be in charge of planning the events, and making sure that they were staffed appropriately. This also meant that I was handling commercial money, by taking payments for rooms and services. In addition to working with the public, I also worked with Sandwell Councillors, this again reinforcing my ability to work with all levels within the council and treat everyone accordingly. This role gave me more of an insight into a busy face to face environment, both with internal and external stakeholders, with many difficulties and responsibilities that gave me the want to push and achieve even more. Show less Throughout my time working with Sandwell Property Care, I expanded my knowledge massively. I worked with customers every day, ensuring that I was providing a high level of customer service. Working on the helpdesk, we dealt with a range of priority jobs from Urgent to Planned Work orders. It was important that I was always available to deal with people face to face or over the phone because every day and every phone call was completely unpredictable. As well as dealing with sandwell contracts, I also dealt with lift contracts, here I was able to show my ability to work with vulnerable groups and ensure that I was able to change my approach to suit the customer. As well as this, I was able to pick up other tasks to help other areas, working with all levels of people throughout the council and dealing with tasks efficiently. Show less
