  I started my career as the Senior Hardware Technician, later recognized by upper management for my technology skills, I was promoted to "Technology Manager" for the entire school of art and design. I was utilized initially to close down the "Electronic Media" and later create it in to "Digital Media" after writing a document to the Dean of the school emphasizing the importance of "not simply closing down this department". My responsibilities were from a technical and ergonomics perspective working closely with the "academic manager" Alan Villaweaver" to complete the Digital Media school.   Through ASK STAFFING, I was informed I would be doing "remote computer support for windows 10 and technical support for the operating system and its users". In reality they sent me to work for the unemployment department and claims department of Maryland and the actual job was completely alien to me and nothing to do with "computer support" or "windows 10" - the entire job was using google chrome and the unique software applications that were all web based within the website of the unemployment department.Thankfully I am a super fast learner and quickly learned the system inside and out and became a helper to multiple teams as a result.They actually assigned me a position as an unemployment benefits official working remotely as both a customer support person on the phones answering questions about Maryland Benefits and unemployment income and laws... and because the "team lead" was aware of my computer skills after I had helped "through natural voluntarily help" so many other members in the team with their technical issues as nobody in the group knew how to fix things when they went wrong except me, the team lead made me instantly in to a 2nd lead for the group, someone the group could go to for help with the "actual role" in unemployment benefits questions and with technical questions, Until I demonstrated my technical skills, the entire department had no idea I was a computer professional that had joined the group until I took the initiative to help ALL of the teams with VPN setup and software issues that arose amongst other new employees that were less or NON computer literate.
