  Responsible for the delivery of the DfTs Intercity Express Program (IEP) & West of England (WoE) service provision to include staff, trains, DFO & DAA maintenance facilities, spare parts, training, budget and revenue for two Hitachi Train Maintenance Centres.• Responsible for the safe operation of bi-mode trains from two maintenance facilities. • Daily delivery of safe, reliable trains to meet the customer’s passenger service requirements. • Development, delivery and management of a mobilisation program specific to two Maintenance Facility sites..• Availability of the IEP & WoE fleets in accordance with the Train Service Agreement (TSA).• Develop and project manage the staff recruitment program including the selection of personnel for two IEP & WoE Depots. • Management and sign off of new and refurbished maintenance depots. Acceptance of the associated train and depot special equipment and tools including commissioning. • Negotiation of contract cost and service level agreements.• Produce a comprehensive technical (train) & operational (driving) training plan. • Project Manage the development of all depot operational procedures• Maximise the use of Lean principles and best practice in the design of the depots. •A key role in the successful accreditation as ECM (Entity in charge of maintenance)•Responsible for the achievement ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 across two new sites and the maintenance of accreditation.
