  Team PHZ is the esports venture of a Finnish IT company PHZ Full Stack Oy. During my time there, the organization was operated by a team of Esports Business students from Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. We had players/teams competing in League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Brawlhalla.I started off as a Player Manager but quickly adopted the role of a General Manager as I was heavily involved in the day-to-day life of the organization and my responsibilities grew more varied.The work I did:• Managed different projects and people working on them• Managed all of the players and made sure they had everything they needed to practice and compete• Was in charge of the social media content, including general posts and match coverage• Wrote articles for the website• Together with the rest of the team, we discussed ideas and created plans for the future • Pitched ideas and created reports for the upper management of the organization• Created pitch decks for potential sponsors• Cooperated with different outside parties to create collaborative plans together• Planned and managed events, for example, viewing parties for LoL Worlds 2019, LoL Worlds 2018, and BlizzCon 2018 StarCraft 2 WCS Global Finals Show less

  Vuokatti-Ruka Sports Academy allows young and aspiring athletes to get coaching and develop their skills in tandem with their high school studies. They also offer youth camps for elementary and junior high school students.On top of traditional sports, the academy also offers esports coaching -- which we were responsible for. We had a team of coaches, who all focused on different areas of esports coaching. Our students were a group of high school students playing a variety of games (League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch, FIFA).I started as a coach but later in the project, I also stepped into the role of a Project Manager when the previous had to step aside.The work I did:• Coached teamwork related skills such as leadership and communication• Acted as the Project Manager during the second semester• Together with the other coaches, we created both the general coaching plan (syllabus) as well as the personal development plans for each of the students• Together with the marketing team, designed the marketing plan for the esports youth camps• Held introduction lectures about esports and the sports academy studies for visitors• Created content for the website (introduction for the provided coaching) Show less
