      Apprentice carpenter

I successfully completed a 3 year apprenticeship which awarded me a NVQ Level 3 in Woodwork & Carpentry. The apprenticeship led me to being trusted to work under my own initiative and to prioritise my own workload. I also was given the responsibility of mentoring works experience candidates and new apprentices.

      Jun 2013 - Sept 2021
Site supervisor / coss (controller of site safety)

As a Site Supervisor at Osborne, I rose from a basic Labourer to being a qualified Site Supervisor and as my work is predominantly on the Railway Infrastructure, I also became a Controller of Site Safety. My work is always in a wide variety of areas ranging from East Anglia, London and as far West as Devon. When performing as a Site Supervisor, I am responsible for a large group of Contractors and also have to perform a Site Managers job role. I am responsible for their safety, welfare and also making sure we hit our targets and job completion within a strict schedule. As a Controller of Site Safety I am responsible for the Contractors lives on the Railway Infrastructure. I would be in charge of the safe system of work and at multiple times have to communicate with a train signaller to stop trains passing through my site of works so that work can commence safely.
