  As a data analyst for a clinic that serves underserved patients, I am tasked with assigning billing codes to each patient visit and analyzing financial data. Our focus is on improving administrative services and clinical operations in order to serve our current and future patients better. After analyzing physician SOAP notes and patient background information, I calculated the net worth of each treatment to help obtain grants for the clinic. Those finances are later directed towards buying much-needed medical equipment and supporting patients in other ways. This experience allowed me to gain greater insight into the more technical and business side of operating a free clinic. Show less
