  As a filed coordinator I was managing various aspects of the organization's activities in the field. I was responsible for coordinating a team, called "Philos," which included medical staff members related to support refugees. I was sending daily Epidemiological Reports to the Ministry of Health, which involves collecting and analysing epidemiological data on health issues among the population. I was identifying the special needs of the new arrivals, including their medical, psychological, and social needs. I was conducting psychological sessions to children and adults, who have experienced trauma or stress. I was conducting Music Therapy Groups and Guitar Lessons, by providing recreational and therapeutic activities, which helped individuals cope with their situation and build a sense of normalcy.   I was conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments of unaccompanied/separated minors and children in families to identify any trauma-related symptoms, behavioural issues, or mental health challenges and I was providing individual counselling sessions for children, as well as the Best Interest Assessments for implementing Dublin Regulation for applications of family reunification of UAM’s. I also organized group therapy sessions by using the Music (Art therapy) to address common issues, promote resilience, and build peer support networks, by creating a safe and supportive environment for children and using evidence-based trauma therapies. I was providing guidance and support to parents and caregivers to help them understand and address the psychological needs of their children, by offering parenting skills workshops. I was collaborating with other professionals to ensure a coordinated response during emergencies, such as UNHCR, N.G.Os and governmental organizations. Within my role in Moria camp, I trained other staff members/caregivers of the unaccompanied minors in basic psychosocial support techniques. I was collaborating with medical professionals, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to children's well-being, and I was participating in the Mental Health Psychosocial support meetings. I was facilitating referrals and reports to specialized mental health services when required. I was reporting along with the team any protection concerns or critical incidents to relevant authorities and agencies, by being culturally sensitive and aware of the unique needs and backgrounds of the children and families in the camp. Utilizing standardized assessment tools, I was assessing the level of risk to children in various cases. This involved evaluating factors such as parental substance abuse, domestic violence, and mental health issues. I was collaborating with other child protection agencies, law enforcement, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to child safety and well-being. I was conducting regular case reviews and I had been involved in the development and implementation of agency policies and procedures related to child protection, contributing to continuous improvement and compliance with state and federal regulations. I was contributing to the decision-making process regarding the granting of international protection to applicants, by writing opinions and sending them to the Greek Asylum Service.   In my role as a Child protection expert I welcome and provide initial support to unaccompanied minors who arrive from the first reception centre (Ter Apel azc and Budel azc) to the COA of Amersfoort. I collaborate with COA and NIDOS guardianship for refugees staff to coordinate services and resources for the minors in need, and receiving reports of potential child protection concerns and conducting initial assessments to determine the level of risk and the need for intervention. In this role I am responsible to maintain accurate and confidential records of cases, assessments, and interventions, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, respond to urgent situations and crises involving child safety, which may include making immediate decisions to ensure a child's welfare. I advocate for the rights and best interests of children, both within the organization and interactions with external stakeholders, and I collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and other community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to child protection. I participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about best practices, changes in laws and policies, and emerging trends in child protection, and reporting to supervisors and management regarding case progress, outcomes, and any challenges or concerns to my work.
