The events held 600-1000 people, each. For each event, I had to negotiate a venue price, a security team and on event animations. I also had to manage a promotor team for ticket distribution where we sold over 1500 tickets.

We partner up with numerous bars and restaurants which we use to distribute promotional - free - sponsored products to create a first interaction between the sponsor (brand) and the consumer. Through an app, we build up a base of consumers through the mentioned interactions and convert them into promotional event attendees. Through the app, we guide the attendees through the - at the event - sponsorship points and increase the success of the sponsorship campaign.As the CEO, I am responsible for a team of 7 people that make Grem what it is. As a manager, I believe that the team and the relationships within the team are the keys to success and therefore I emphasize a lot on it. Furthermore, I am responsible for talking to our customers and making sure that we build a product that solves their problems and that they love to use.Building a B2C2B business has challenged me to understand the difference between selling to consumers and to businesses. Our app is built for consumers that attend events and go out. However, our business model is selling to businesses and solving their real problems in order to enable monetisation. This showed me the big differences in the B2C sales cycle and the B2B sales cycle. Our solution is also a tech-based solution and throughout the 2-year development of our product, I have learned many aspects of what it takes to develop a platform - form the financial challenges, development challenges to team coordination challenges.Additionally, I also play the role of the CFO. I have learned the aspects of project financing, as well as management of funds for a project and seeking funds. Further, I have learned what it takes to develop a working business model that does not just solve a problem but actually creates a sustainably profitable business. Show less
