My final dissertation was on the impact of exile on family unites with a case study of 4 South African anti-apartheid activists families.

      As Head of Content Distribution, I lead VoiceMap's marketing efforts and oversee its distribution channels. My responsibilities include managing our social media pipeline and increasing brand awareness as well as supervising our reseller partner channels and affiliate relationships. My goal is to expand our global reach through strategic distribution and marketing efforts.I work alongside our Head of Content to manage the production pipeline, ensuring each tour is logistically sound and meets VoiceMap's high-quality standards. This involves proofreading and copyediting tour scripts for clarity and ensuring that tours work technically. I work with a range of publishers, from travel writers and individual guides to larger companies with their own aims and goals. I also find new partnerships that can help us grow and offer unique experiences in sought-after destinations. I help cultivate and nurture these relationships, ensuring that each publisher has a smooth journey from development to post-publishing. Show less VoiceMap is a publishing platform and mobile app for self-guided audio tours that uses GPS to play audio at the right time and place. With over 900 tours across 300 destinations in 62 countries, we've worked with brands and passionate locals to tell their stories. At VoiceMap, I find new brands and individuals as well as work with those who find us and help them bring their tours to life, finding the balance between storytelling and what's logistically possible. Along with editing and reviewing the tour's content, I also do keyword research, source images, proofread and where necessary write new copy for the tour's title, summary and description. I also head up VoiceMap's distribution channels, working to add our products to platforms like TripAdvisor, Viator and GetYourGuide. This often involves copywriting for e-commerce and making sure the tours are marketed correctly for each platform. I help manage our social media pages too, creating copy, sourcing images where necessary and creating videos and reels. I assist with customer support queries, answering questions about how our tours work and helping them to troubleshoot any technical difficulties they might have with the app. Show less
