Responsible for Y2K awareness for the Gold Fields Group including head office, ten mines, and six Group companies in South Africa and Namibia. Designed, presented and ran an awareness programme throughout the Group. Organised workshops dealing with IT, Engineering, Purchasing, Legal and Audit issues and provided training for Y2K managers at the mines and Group companies. Published articles for Group publications, and designed the Group Y2K logo. Gold Fields’ Representative at the South African Institute of Mining & Metallurgy Y2K IT Committee. October 1995 - August 1996. Project Leader. Liaison for the implementation of a new hospital system at two hospitals, two clinics and five mine medical stations. Project Leader for the implementation of electronic office systems for the Executive Division at head office. Project Leader for the Gold Fields Group upgrade from DOS to Windows. January 1993-1994. Commenced strategic project portfolio reporting for six newly amalgamated clusters having over 200 projects at financial year end 2004/05. Reported to the CIO on the portfolio of projects, and provided reports for the offices of the Premier and the President on request. Facilitator for a wide variety of projects in health, education, community development, agriculture. Designed and presented workshops for Project Managers. In the Department of Transport & Public Works defined and managed two ECM development projects through to project closure; a motor vehicle administration project, and a Libraries project.
