Mar 2012 - Oct 2018Merchandise operations supervisorI transitioned into the Operations Supervisor position over 6 years and 4 promotions. In this position, I was responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Merchandise department as well as speciality assigned projects. I was tasked with carrying department duty manager five days a week, as well as specifically overseeing the seasonal operations of 10 stores, as well as the park's FunPix program and department's product.On a day-to-day basis, I ensured the stores are well-kept, appropriately staffed, well-stocked, and that the department expectations for guest service were being met. I was also tasked with ensuring and reviewing that requisitions, write-offs, and store-to-store product transfers were completed, as well as analyzed and reported inventory and sale trends. Finally, I was responsible for coordinating the hiring, training, and development of all Sales Associates, Team Leads, and Supervisors in the Merchandise Department.• As duty manager, oversaw the operations of 30 units, including the sale of Fast Lane, FunPix's photo products, strollers and locker rentals.• Oversaw and lead a team of over 30 Supervisors and Team Leads, and 200 Sales Associates.• Led a team of six people in the hiring of 250 Merchandise Sales Associates, 35 Team Leads, and 24 Supervisors• Duties included training, development, direction, support, performance management, and motivation.• Completed schedules and managed labour budget for assigned areas.• Resolved guest issues regarding the Merchandise department in person and through the guest management software • Performed inventory management duties and reorder product to maintain appropriate supply inventory• Oversaw the writing of all seasonal appraisals for the department (250 appraisals) resulting in the highest appraisal completion rate for the department. • Revamped training process to be more engaging and hands-on, while minimizing labour costs Show less
