  • Experience

    • Various Clients - Fitch, Scholastic Books, Gorilla Ad, Viacom, Fox Inkubation, EMA, etc.

      May 2005 - Dec 2010
      Freelance Creative

I just did what any freelancer ultimately looks to achieve - I made all my client's wildest dreams come true. As a creative freelancer, I was able to experience and practice a diverse set of marketing tools from traditional to digital. Specialties include press releases, DTC/B2B copy, logo design/ branding suites, Social Media, e-mail marketing, writing for SEO/SEM. 8/10 Will do again for the right projects.

    • U.S. Census Bureau

      Dec 2009 - Sept 2010
      Field Operations Manager

The U.S. Census Bureau was an incredible experience. I worked my way up from Special Operations, where it was my responsibility to capture often neglected population data missed due to the nature of the living arrangements (i.e. houseboats, illegal lofts), to Field Operations Manager where I trained and managed over 125 enumerators. In this role, I oversaw all operations in North Brooklyn. That would be over 1 million people counted on my watch. 10/10 Would do again

    • Bedford Slims

      Sept 2010 - Mar 2022
      CEO

I conceived and developed Bedford Slims on a $5,000 budget in the middle of a recession and in a super small Brooklyn apartment. Since launch, this scrappy e-cig company has climbed its way to a national level while netting millions in revenue. 7.5 / 10 - Points deducted for gray hairs added to my head during my tenure at this company.

    • Nini's Wine Cellar

      Dec 2010 - Jul 2019
      Retail Buyer / General Manager

I did some moonlighting as a cashier at my local boutique wine shop. I became fascinated with the wine making process as well as testing out different retail tricks I picked up in Paco Underhill's "Why We Buy." Learning and tasting wines was a relaxing way to spend my free time and also a great way to tinker with various retail marketing practices. 10 years later, I am happy to say I had a hand in nearly every facet of the business and helped watch it grow from a neighborhood secret into a Williamsburg staple (and all done on my free time). 10/10 Would never do again, but it was fun.
