  My projects focused on improving energy efficiency for the over 420 buildings owned by the University of Minnesota. I acquired knowledge of building systems and automation and heating and cooling system layout.Major projects: assisted in the design of a centralized compressed air system, designed and co-led the installation of a chilled water system in the Lions/TRF research buildings

  Worked on high-voltage, pulsed power projects from design stage to vehicle integration. -Conducted shock and vibration testing (MIL-STD-810) for multiple assemblies and wrote the technical reports. - Designed electrical packaging to be mounted on vehicles in compliance with MIL-STDs. - Specified and selected COTS electrical and mechanical components. - Responsible for directing the work of technicians in the machine shop as well as electrical assembly. Mainly worked on the Advanced Gun System which is now prominently featured in the bow of the DDG-1000, Zumwalt class destroyer. Transitioned to Advanced Systems Engineering - Technology Development where I was responsible for vehicle integration, system testing at government test sites, and design support for pulsed power systems

  Honored to lead a team of sixteen mechanical engineers and designers to create first class mechanical designs for Starkey's hearing products and accessories. - Established and operated the Mechanical Engineering Prototype Lab. - Conducted budget planning and execution for the mechanical engineering department, capital expense, and tool acquisition costs. - Provided leadership and engineering resources to the Product Development Process, Research & Technology Projects, Continuation Engineering, and Corrective Action Requests.Considered a thought leader at Starkey and was regularly invited to develop content and present it internally to leadership teams, and externally to customer groups. Presented to audiologists at the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs at Starkey product training events, held all over the U.S. The apex of the speaking opportunities came in 2016 when I spoke on future technology trends to over 4,000 people at a Starkey held customer event in Las Vegas.
