  The World Race is a challenging journey around the world over eleven months to serve ‘the least of these’ while among real and raw community. Lived in eleven countries across four continents (Guatemala, Nicaragua, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, India, Swaziland, Botswana, Montenegro, Ukraine) serving the impoverished people through building homes, teaching English, working in orphanages and fighting against sex slavery. • Chiang Mai, Thailand: With a team of other young women, went into the Bar District and met with girls who were trapped in the bar and sex-trafficking industry. By earning trust, developing a relationship and encouraging them, we were able to lead three different girls out of the industry and into a stable living and working environment.• Manzini, Swaziland: In the course of one-month, successfully planted 5 different vegetable gardens for five Care Points across the city, in order to make the local children’s feeding program more nutritious and sustainable.• Sought out and connected Adventures in Missions to 15 new organizations in six different countries, in order to expand AIM’s reach of influence.• Operated professional cinematic camera equipment across seven different countries; identifying and developing stories, as well as, shooting and logging over 700 hours of footage. • Multitasked multiple goals and initiatives in demanding work environments.• Developed and initiated fundraising plans that raised over $16,000.• Leveraged Social Media to successfully convey fundraising asks. • Mediated cross-cultural communication and service across eleven countries. • Developed and managed an international blog that earned up to 5,000 views a week.   The Chef Instructor, Savory contributes to the success of a Sur La Table store by inspiring customers on all points of their culinary journey. The Chef Instructor blends culinary talent and teaching skills to support the Resident Chef in driving business results. The Chef Instructor reports to the Resident Chef. • Models and directs employees to ensure customer service standards are met. • Delivers an exceptional cooking class experience at every class using recipes and game plans provided. • Stays informed by maintaining product knowledge, accesses available training and seeks out additional resources when necessary. • Ensures high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the experience by keeping work area and guest areas clean and organized. • Ensures all food items are cooked and served at the correct temperature and under sanitary conditions. • Works as a part of a high-performing team to achieve store’s sales plan Strives to achieve individual and/or class sales goals. • Models and ensures all Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are communicated effectively to employees, maintained and consistently followed. • Provides coaching in the moment and performance feedback to Kitchen Assistants and communicates performance issues directly to the Resident Chef. • Seeks opportunities to increase cooking class and retail sales.
