Managed project cost records, erection schedule, and technical document distribution controls. Expedited delivery to the job site in India of major chemical equipment and spare parts from various locations throughout the world (Japan, USA, and Canada). Liaison between various field sites and the main engineering office in New York during erection, start-up and post project stages. - Reviewed equipment specification and prepared quotation request forms to send to various vendors.- Visited the construction site in India to provide coordination and facilitation with local plant manager about how to manage spare part requirements for major equipment. Key project management responsibilities:- Develop project objectives and scope of work working with the client and A&E team; prepare preliminary budget with the help from DDC estimate unit and consultant; prepare funding package for OMB to review and approved to start design phase of project; prepared preliminary schedule; review schematic design phase I reports.- Coordinate Constructability review process of drawings and specifications at various phases (schematic design, design development, final design) between the consultant, the sponsor, architectural and engineering unit, estimating unit, geo-technical unit, MWB unit, budget unit.- Review construction cost estimates for each stage (schematic design, design development, final design) and coordinated resolution of discrepancies between estimates by the consultant and DDC’s cost estimates unit. - Get major city agencies (for example, OCDV, DDC, DCAS, Staten Island DA office, OMB, DoIT, etc.) working together to complete the project on time and within budget.- Coordinate the process of submitting presentation of project to Community Boards and Public Design Commission for review and approval the project. - Ensure that projects keep moving forward by proactively addressing major issues, becoming thoroughly knowledgeable of the major stakeholders and their requirements, address unique security and access restriction for site visits; coordinate site visits by representatives of the clients, A&E team, and estimators; assist new design consultants, selected under the design excellence program, by working closely with them to provide guidance on the policies and procedure to manage design projects at DDC.- Monitor payments to consultants; work with EAO auditor and CFO unit to process the payments.
