Conducting presentation worthy research on a mission to a celestial body with SEDS from UCF. (see attached paper for more details)-Managed a team of engineers in the developmental exercise of generating a CAD model of a spaceship that could be used for said missing.-Generated a cost/value sheet comparing different types of viable energy systems for a said spaceship.-Assisted in the creation of the research paper for submittal for NASA judges to review and give potential candidacy to. Developing Gait-related solutions and optimizations to the prosthesis of the lower limbs. As an Assistant researcher, my primary role is in the development of a leg model consisting of springs to represent muscle stiffnesses to be able to validate a PhD student's algorithm in their thesis I.E Calculation-based analytical decomposition, rendering, and experimentation. This role required a lot of innovative design to make sure there were plenty of tolerance conditions satisfied in order to make sure our "muscles" did not interact with anything they were not supposed to. My secondary role is the construction of possible patent devices with the professor of my lab, Dr. Hwan Choi. This involves using 3D printing-related software and mechanical functioning software; Such as Solidworks and MATLAB. -Developed possible designs to assist with foot drop-related issues (2021-2022)-Assisting in specific system development with CAD (and cost in mind) to develop a leg replica to test graduate software.-Designing and assembling testing rigs for experiments that offer optimal convenience and low interference. Jan 2024 - Jun 2024
      Failure analysis engineer

      - Developed an internal library of semiconductor failure modes to prioritize and assess failure cases in a $20 million dollar warranty liability sector at Tesla. This involved designing circuits to exploit high-power MOSFET semiconductors, intentionally inducing failures to identify exposures, and performing micrometer-precision failure analysis to tell a coherent story when summarizing results. I achieved high proficiency in using X-rays, planar CT scanning, fine sanding, material decomposition, OBIRCH, LIT, CSAM, and basic electrical equipment interfacing.- Contributed to the rivet solution for the CyberTruck accelerator pedal by working closely with the design team and field reliability.- Invented an internal service tool that saves $10 million dollars annually by eliminating error-prone and time-consuming tasks while also reducing material waste. A component experiencing wear inside vehicles required replacement under warranty. Utilized CATIA to develop surface-molded parts, adhering to GD&T rules and compensating for aluminum cast variances. Ultimately achieved an 80% reduction in material replacement and decreased service time which contributed largely to the cost of labor, aligning with sustainability goals.- Contributed and initiated research into Tesla's HVAC compressors in their vehicles in the aim to increase reliability in extreme weather cases while maintaining the efficiency rating. Mainly took part in oil and refrigerant case studies to characterize behaviour in extreme temperature gradients to produce hypothesis relevant to root failure causations of said compressors.- Worked closely with CNC machinists to develop custom solutions to internal issues. Mainly included to out line familiarity with DFM and DFA, as well as CNC customs and expectations.- Barbeque head chef, ping pong team captain (Sunnyvale location) Show less

      Jun 2024 - Aug 2024
      Body and closures design engineer

      - Developed a patented system that utilizes vehicle body and aesthetic components to detect collisions. Applied principles of fluid dynamics, statics, and calculus to establish activation sensitivities and optimize sensor performance. Engineered real-time data processing algorithms within microcontrollers to detect gasket compression, and panel deflection enabling precise identification of collisions, such as contact with fingers, jackets, and other objects.- Designed and manufactured vibration assemblies using CATIA V5 to validate components on the robot. The design accurately replicated the force vectors exhibited by the surrounding components, and considered the momentum that the components would experience.- Constructed and coded an assembly capable of characterizing torque outputs specifically for door actuators, allowing engineers to conduct validation within minutes. The design takes advantage of the anti torque exhibited by the housing of the actuator and use a hysteresis break as the resistance module, all controlled using an Arduino and csv files.- Designed and built a latch cycler used for validating door latches using microcontrollers and active components such as servos. **If you've made it this far, ill go further into the details of this project as I think it shows a bit of character - The initial concept of this design was to use electro-magnetism to operate a linear bearing on a shaft. When current would be applied, the linear bearing would move as a MOSFET and power supply pulsed current through a wire wrapped around the bearing. I calculated the supposed values using Ampere's law, magnetomotive force etc. Though the stationary shaft magnetized, the required amperage necessary to move the bearing was reaching values that were not totally feasible and dangerous. A pivot was made and more mechanically reliant components were used. Show less
