      Selected to participate in a highly competitive Cardiology shadowing program focused on providing intensive exposure to clinical and surgical cardiology practices, from the non-invasive practices and procedures to the invasive surgical experience. Shadowed a highly acclaimed group of physicians from the Lenox Hill Hospital Cardiology Department.

      Assisted in the research being conducted on Laryngeal Reconstruction with the treatment of Microporous Annealed Particle (MAP) gel. I formulated and purified the gels for imaging and conduct cell culture studies; experiment with gradient and DMMB assays; and, stain and section tissues. I am also trained as an Animal Handler to assist in animal surgeries.

      Collected and coded videos with the goal of analyzing changes in children behavior patterns in local autism immersion schools. Explored the use of visuals during mealtime to increase communication among children with autism. Visuals include a topic questions and multiple pictures to reflect a variety of answers. Impacts of participation in the study included increased social communication skills leading to higher levels of independence and improved quality of life.

      Executive Council Leader South Lakes Leadership Program 2016 2016-2018: Led, coordinated, and facilitated key leadership and school events to enable meaningful student and staff engagement. Executed engagement with the National Association of Student Council (NASC), which directly resulted in the award of the National Gold Councils of Excellence Award in 2018; and, a Backpack Initiative (2017), which resulted in over 500 backpacks full of school supplies donated to local students and families in need.
