      Responsible for guiding quality improvement teams comprised of medical students/residents/fellows at the University of Toledo Internal Medicine Residency Program. In addition, introduce the knowledge of utilizing quality improvement tools and techniques to ensure successful completion of quality-related research projects while assisting with statistical analysis and manuscript writing. Our residency will work in collaboration with the University of Toledo Medical Center’s Quality Management Department. This will substantiate aligning IM resident/fellow education with the hospital’s quality improvement and safety strategies. Show less The Quality Management Non Clinical Analyst will be a principle diagnostician of Performance Improvement Data. The Analyst will be involved in organizational and departmental consultative support for process improvement and strategy development in a manner which enhances the quality of care and outcomes experienced by UTMC patients. The analyst activities will be inclusive of developing strategies for extracting data, entering data into databases, data management, data interpretation and trend summaries, and communication strategies to disseminate information through creation of graphs, charts, worksheets, and reports. The Analyst will work in cooperation with Manager Data Support Services, other Analysts and UTMC departmental leadership in process redesign where indicated. This professional will also be responsible to conduct industry research on key best practice process improvement initiatives. The Analyst will be instrumental in the Performance Improvement initiatives of the organization and will play a direct role in fulfilling both internal and external data support needs. The Analyst will be involved in various organization specific Performance Improvement initiatives as requested. The Analyst must work well on teams and independently, having strong decision making skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and completion. The Analyst will be a key contributor in positioning UTMC to meet and exceed regulations and guidelines associated with accreditation and reimbursement as outlined by agencies such as Joint Commission and CMS.
