  Through my involvement in the Smith Global Leadership Scholars Program, I was provided an opportunity to complete an international internship while studying in London. After being placed with Mercer, a Marsh McLennan company, I was able to dive into understanding the fiduciary management work done within the Delegated Solutions Client Team. As an intern, I assisted established analysts and senior management with daily tasks, including pulling fund valuations from the system, constructing client reports & presentations, and assisting in efforts to streamline processes within the division. I completed a project that effectively performed analysis on the average experience/job level of team members needed on each size client to better pace promotion and hiring rates within the company. I was able to develop a better understanding of investments, pension schemes, and fiduciary management, while also strengthening my ability to work in diverse environments. My time at Mercer allowed me to experience a culturally-diverse workplace (both in-person & virtually), and add to my passion for becoming a leader in the expanding world of international finance & business.
