  A Piece Of The Action is a Los Angeles based metal band who began playing shows and touring the states in 2010. Since releasing their debut EP, titled A Piece Of The Action, the band has played numerous shows and has continued to tour the states connecting with as many people as possible. Over the years their struggle to record their newest upcoming cd was proven to be a huge obstacle. The band dealt with numerous studio set backs as well as financial challenges. Through thick and thin they came out on top and are proud to have released their second EP titled "All For A Snake" in April 2014. The band continues to write new music in preparation for their first ever full length. A Piece Of The Action is a metal band based out of Los Angeles CA that has been making bears happy since 2010.   Artist statement

  Every musically related opportunity I have been fortunate enough to be a part of has also given me a feeling a accomplishment, worth, and inner unity. No other endeavor has given me that. I believe that if you love what you do for a living, you will never work a day in your life. Making a full time career in the music industry while being able to provide for my family is my ultimate life goalWhat drives me are personal experiences and my families well being. Each song I write encompasses my reality. I find it most meaningful when I can relate first hand with the song I am singing. The way I choose my rhythms is simple. I write was feels right. It has to have a natural flow. My method for coming up with melodies and rhythms goes something like this: I play the song I working with on repeat and just listen, over and over and over again. Each time the song plays, I listen to what it's telling me. I listen to what feels naturally to me. I can actually hear the melodies and rhythms being sung back to me. Everything else that comes my way in the form of musical opportunity I engulf myself in. From organizing an event to designing album artwork I lock myself up in a room and commit all my focus to it. I think of other successful projects and apply what I've learned from them into my task. At the end of the project I have not only learned something, I have used something old to create something new. Show less
