      Data Poor Metal Toxicity Testing/ Plant Interface Interaction Lab; Work in a Heavy Metal Contamination research lab analyzing the effects of data poor metals on plants across a collection of different soil classes. Used various analytical techniques such as: GF-AAS, FI-AAS, Cation Exchange Capacity tests, pH tests, and Electrical Conductivity tests.Selected Accomplishments:Lead research being conducted on platinum contamination in an undergraduate research project. Analysis in organic, clay, and loamy soils were conducted using C3 Plant species. Developed an experimental protocol for setting up a standardized testing method for platinum contamination.Used Graphite Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy to detect low levels of platinum present within samples.Strong understanding of the Biotic Ligand model, essential for the understanding of fate of soil contaminatesCurrently working on a paper to be published with the results of this experiment.
