  I created a position for myself so that I could effectively lead the leaders of children so that the world could become a better place for all people. The amount of paperwork and bureaucracy in special education was making me crazy- I wanted to solve real problems with live people, not write stories about it in IEP"S and checking boxes and reciting laws all day. I do behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy with individuals and families, lots of parent training, work about 70% with kids and 30% adults, and most of my work with kids includes the parents as co-teachers and co-behavioral therapists in training. Workshops- I have done hundreds of workshops about high-functioning autism/asperger syndrome, behavior management, children and anger, children and anxiety, the impact of digital media on child development and how to manage it, ADHD/ODD, Struggles of the Gifted Child, to name a few. I have provided training in universities, for Educational Service Centers across Texas, schools, churches, and numerous agencies.
