    • Amazon robotics

      Mar 2020 - Aug 2021
      Deployment engineer

Responsible for deploying and launching the Robotics floors of various Amazon fulfillment centers around the US. Oversaw the manufacturing and implementation of various equipment pieces that control these floors. Projects typically took 3-5 months to complete. Over the course of one project, I oversaw the building and deployment of 75,000-100,000 product storage containers for Amazon product and 4,300 robots meant to retrieve these containers. At another site, I was responsible for implementing the robotics system of a sortation floor and a mezzanine floor for use at the San Bernardino Airport as part of the first non-beta Air Gateway Center. Everything on the robotics floor was under my management, including the floor and its health, the robots, the storage containers, the associate workstations, the safety systems, and the perimeter guarding. I personally was part of the deployment team at sites in Palm Springs, CA, San Bernardino, CA, San Diego, CA, and Phoenix, AZ. During my time at these sites, I also oversaw teams of roughly 150 people that were responsible for the physical labor needed to build many of the components of an Amazon Robotics building. Deployment engineer

As a member of the BG deployment team, I’ve helped oversee the install of various BG machines at client facilities around the US. These locations include Las Vegas, NV, Lansing, MI, Evansville, IN, Philadelphia, PA, Aberdeen, MD, and Boston, MA. One type of project I’ve been involved with is the RPSi (Robotic Pick & Sort), which involves packages being selected by a robotic arm and then sorted into various bins based on certain criteria (size, destination, etc.) In addition to this, I’ve also been directly involved with the RSPS (Robotic Station Pick and Sort), similar to the RPSi, except without a robotic arm and a major emphasis on conveyor systems. The RSPS system focused heavily on moving large amounts of customer product as part of the process of restocking stores around the country. I had supporting roles with the RIS (Robotic Induction Station) system and the RPW (Robotics Put Wall) system during my time with BG. While working on these projects, I typically managed a team of 10-20 people at a time. Show less
