Develops connections with the professionals in the architecture field so our organization can have relationships with those in academia and at firms. By offering our assistance and interest, we hope to use this source of knowledge and experience and support them however AIAS UMD can. As the first Graduate Representative of UMD's AIAS Chapter, my goal is to bring the opportunities of AIAS to the graduate student body. By expanding the organization to graduate students, I plan to organize events that will help foster connections and help students improve skills for both academic and professional success. Through both of these positions, AIAS was able to gain awareness in the School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation with fundraising events that helped fund other opportunities for members. I was responsible for the creation and broadcasting of events, which resulted in funding for other events such as our trip to Boston, career fair prep workshops, and much more.
